Pipe bursts in Brunswick Apartments on Tuesday

March 4, 2022

Eliana Roberts ’23 came home to her Brunsick apartment on Tuesday afternoon to find that a hot water pipe supplying water to the radiator in the apartment above hers had burst, showering hot water over the bedroom of her roommate, Esther Park ’23. The incident caused the partial destruction of the ceiling and water damage to Roberts’ and Park’s apartment, O3, as well as the apartment located directly above them, O4.

Roberts said that the water was hot enough to fill the room with steam, and that she was told by members of the Office of Facilities Management that they would have to move out for a minimum of four weeks. The College offered to assist the occupants of both O3 and O4 in moving to their new residences.
