College to provide December bonus for staff

December 10, 2021

Employees who have been on the College’s payroll since or before September 1 will receive an additional cash payment in their December paychecks. President Clayton Rose announced the news in an email to staff on Monday.

This includes casual employees who have worked at least fifty hours this fall. Full-time employees will receive $1000 and part-time, adjunct and casual employees will receive a prorated amount.

The payment, according to Rose, is intended “to further recognize all that [employees] are doing and will be doing during this challenging academic year.”

“We did not expect to have to contend with the many significant challenges brought on by the Delta variant of SARS-COV-2,” Rose wrote. “I know the many burdens the pandemic presents this year, and I am very grateful for the sacrifices you are making.”
