Forever in sight

May 16, 2026

Nothingness separates me from the world

The darkness of the sky brings comfort,

But the stars hurt my eyes;

I am blinded by colors I lack,

They point to a building in front of my nothingness.

I am resigned within the confines of this (   )

While those bright-colored fellows trickle into the building

Besides mine—The building on which I am forced to gaze

Alights an eruption penetrates my nothingness:

Laughter

I envy those without this (   )

The noise only taunts me further,

Sight is lost from my distant companions,

Trees, street lamps, clouds,

Nothingness begins to fade as I grip the glass—

I push it up and away
