BRING OUT THE BROOMS

Last weekend, the men’s tennis team (11–3; 6–1 NESCAC) hosted two conference matches, handily defeating Connecticut College (3–12; 0–6 NESCAC) and Wesleyan University (5–7; 3–3 NESCAC) on Saturday and Sunday, respectively. In their match against the Camels, the team secured the doubles point before sweeping the singles matches in straight sets. Against the Cardinals, the Polar Bears again took the doubles point with ease before the heart of the lineup earned two-set wins. Yesterday afternoon, the team played Colby College (5–7; 3–3 NESCAC), winning 7–0. The Polar Bears will play two matches tomorrow against Trinity College (4–10; 1–6 NESCAC) and Brandeis University (10–5).

CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES, COME ON

Under the lights on Saturday night, the men’s lacrosse team (12–0; 8–0 NESCAC) marked Senior Day with a 25–4 win over the University of Massachusetts Boston (6–7). With nine goals in each of the first two quarters, the Polar Bears spread the wealth around with 15 different players scoring. Sam Raye-Steiner ’26 had the most with five, and Michael Norton ’26, AJ McBorrough ’26, Colin Campbell ’26 and Alex Byrne ’26 each scored goals in their senior game as well. The team will travel to face Connecticut College (5–7; 1–7 NESCAC) tomorrow at noon.

HARD-FOUGHT DUB
Last Saturday, the baseball team (11–14; 3–6 NESCAC) split its doubleheader with Trinity College (18–7; 4–2 NESCAC). The Polar Bears scored three runs in the top of the first inning, with Wim Nook ’29 drawing a bases-loaded walk, and Henry Bibeu ’27 drove in two runs with a fielder’s choice. In the third inning, Tommy O’Donnell ’29 hit an RBI triple and later scored on an error to make the score 5–2. Will Bordes ’26 pitched four innings and Sam Sacerdote ’27 earned the save with three innings of work. Last night, the team played at the University of Southern Maine (20–6), losing 1–12. The Polar Bears will host Hamilton College (10–12; 5–4 NESCAC) for four games this weekend, starting today at 2 p.m.
