JUMPING FOR THE STARS

Last weekend, the track and field team headed to the Bobcat Tune-Up hosted by Bates College for its last meet before the New England Division III Indoor Championship. Several competitors qualified for the championship, including Charlie Aucoin ’27, who recorded a career-best 14.10m toss in the shot put. Anna Yang ’26 also qualified after jumping 5.10m in the long jump. Finally, Sophie Maguire ’26 and Charlotte Hodge ’25 both cleared 3.25m in the women’s pole vault, with Maguire winning the event after a jumpoff with Hodge. Team members who qualified for the championships compete today and tomorrow at the New Balance track in Boston, Mass.

POLAR BEARS SQUASH ALL

Both the men’s (8–8; 4–4 NESCAC) and women’s (10–5; 4–4 NESCAC) squash teams head to Philadelphia, Pa. this weekend to compete in the College Squash Association (CSA) Summers Cup Divisional Championship and the CSA Kurtz (B) Cup Divisional Championship, respectively. The men’s team claimed the top seed in the championship and will face off against Connecticut College (5–10; 1–6 NESCAC) today at 12 p.m. The women’s team is seeded fifth, playing fourth seed Middlebury College (9–8; 5–4 NESCAC) at 9 a.m. today. The men’s team concluded its regular season ranked 21st in the country while the women’s team finished at 17th place.

SOWING FOUR(TH) SEED(S)

The men’s hockey team (9–12–3; 7–8–3 NESCAC) clinched the fourth seed in the NESCAC tournament. Despite losing to both Connecticut College (9–13–2; 7–10–1 NESCAC) and Tufts University (10–12–1; 8–10–0 NESCAC) in its last regular season weekend, the team will host Tufts, currently seeded fifth, tomorrow at 6 p.m. in Watson Arena for the NESCAC quarterfinals. The men’s game follows the women’s ice hockey (16–7–0; 10–6–0 NESCAC) NESCAC quarterfinal against Hamilton College (11–11–2; 6–8–2 NESCAC).
