ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT PREPARES FOR INDOOR HOME COMPETITION

The College will be hosting its first indoor athletic events of the fall season this weekend as the volleyball team faces Wesleyan College today and Connecticut College tomorrow. The players will be allowed to use their discretion to decide whether they want to wear masks during the game or not, but most of them will likely err on the side of caution and keep the masks on. In an effort to protect the campus and greater Brunswick community from the transmission of COVID-19 during these events, please adhere to the athletic department’s home event spectator policy.

MEN’S SOCCER KICKS IT IN TO OVERPOWER HUSSON

On Tuesday 9/14, following a huge win over formerly #2-ranked Amherst College, the men’s soccer team defeated the Husson University Eagles by a score of 3-0, extending their undefeated record to 3-0. Bowdoin was led by Drake Byrd ’21, who contributed a goal and an assist.

WOMEN’S SOCCER GIVES UNIVERSITY OF NEW ENGLAND THE BOOT

On Tuesday 9/14, following a disappointing 0-3 loss against Amherst College, the women’s soccer team rebounded and defeated the University of New England by a score of 2-0. This win pushed their winning record to 3-1. The goals for Bowdoin were scored by Jade Cromwell ’23 and Samaya Bernardo ’24.

FIELD HOCKEY STICKS IT TO BATES

On Tuesday 9/14, the field hockey team proved to be too much for Bates, defeating them by a score of 3-1. This win allowed Bowdoin to transition from an even record to a winning one, as the team now stands at 2-1. Bowdoin was paced by Faith Jennings ’23 and Abby Bashaw ’22 who both recorded a goal and an assist.
