Brunswick’s at-large town councilor thanks students

April 12, 2019

This piece represents the opinion of the author .

To the Editor,

I wanted to publicly thank all the Bowdoin students who are spending their Saturday mornings this month teaching Brunswick’s youngest schoolchildren how to play soccer. I’ve seen firsthand all the smiles these student-coaches are bringing to kids’ faces as they play. My own son is having a great time, and other parents seem to be happy with their children’s experience as well. This program is a collaboration between the College and Brunswick’s excellent Parks and Recreation Department, and I think these partnerships are invaluable to the cohesiveness of our community. So from this Brunswick dad, thank you for bringing joy and knowledge into our kids’ lives.

Sincerely,

Dan Ankeles

Brunswick at-large town councilor
