I would meet July Skies, a post-rock/shoegaze band from the U.K. that creates beautiful ambient soundscapes. I want to thank them for many nights of staying up late and reminiscing with their music.

I have a feisty cat back home that deserves "3 Fist Style" by Datsik for its old kung-fu lyric samples and heavy bass lines.

Demigod, lyricist and extraordinaire.
If you were to give a piece of advice to any artist, living or dead, what would the advice be and for whom?
For anyone recording: don't give into the loudness wars. Compressing the dynamic range that much kills the nuances that make listening to something like "Dark Side of the Moon" on a great hi-fi system such a spiritual experience.
If you could only listen to one soundtrack for the rest of your life, what would it be?
The soundtrack to "Blade Runner" by Vangelis. It's an ambient masterpiece.

Sesame Beats, a sketchy rave in South Central Los Angeles when I was a freshman in high school.

Seeing Carl Cox two nights in a row at the Ultra Music Festival 10 Year Anniversary in 2007 was life-changing.
