If you could only listen to one album for the rest of your life, what would it be?
MB: Spoon's "Kill The Moonlight," followed by a close second of The National's "Boxer."
AP: Alanis Morissette's "Jagged Little Pill."
Favorite song to dance/rock out to when you think no one's watching?
MB: "Toxic" by Britney. It never gets old.
AP: "You're Unbelievable" by E.M.F. and "The Rockafeller Skank" by Fatboy Slim.
If you were in a band, what would it be called and what kind of music would you play?
MB: The Half Sours. It would be the love child of Of Montreal and War.
AP: I'm in an air cover band called Blink 5. We're reinventing the genre.
Theme song during Ivies?
MB: "In the Summertime" by Mungo Jerry.
AP: "The Lovecats" by The Cure, "Electric Feel" by MGMT, and "La Vie en Rose" by Louis Armstrong.
If you could meet any musician, dead or alive, who would it be and why?
MB: Nico. She was connected to such a crazy group of people with The Factory and The Velvet Underground. Or maybe Elliott Smith so we could sort out his whole "suicide."
AP: Dylan, because he spits hot fire.
Best new music you've heard lately?
MB: Gossip. I saw them this summer. The lead singer was totally crazy, but still amazing.
AP: Fleet Foxes. They're brilliant.
If you could time travel back to any musical period, where would you go and why?
MB: Absolutely late '60s and '70s. Woodstock. Then I could make the jump from classic rock to Arena Rock, besides the clothes and political angst.
AP: Probably the late '60s and early '70s. I'd lie on the grass, have some lemonade, and listen to music when the price of admission wasn't absurd.
Bands/musicans who have most influenced your musical taste?
MB: TV On the Radio, Arcade Fire, Wolf Parade, Feist, Elliott Smith, Cloud Cult.
AP: The Beatles, The Strokes, Simon and Garfunkel, Jobim, Gilberto, Getz, The Cure, Belle and Sebastian, Bob Dylan, and the soundtracks to all of Wes Anderson's films.
