TIME TO GRIND
The women’s tennis team (3–3; 2–0 NESCAC) secured two key conference wins during the first weekend of spring break before flying to California to play three matches. The Polar Bears took down Amherst College (4–3; 1–1 NESCAC) and Hamilton College (7–2; 1–1 NESCAC) on the road, both by a score of 6–1. Against Amherst, the team secured the doubles point before posting five singles wins without dropping a set. The results were similar versus Hamilton, with Zoe Sun ’27 winning every game at the number three spot. The team will resume NESCAC play tomorrow at home versus Bates College (2–8; 1–3 NESCAC) at 1 p.m.
AT THE PLATE
The baseball team (6–7; 0–0 NESCAC) traveled to Florida for spring break, facing tough competition but ending the week with a three-game winning streak. The Polar Bears picked up their first win of the trip over Benedictine University (7–10) with a walk-off two-run double off the bat of Finn Cahill ’28. The team followed the victory with a 11–5 win over Babson College (4–6). On Tuesday night, the Polar Bears lost to University of Southern Maine (9–4) 4–5, and they will play a three-game home series against Tufts University (11–2; 0–0 NESCAC) starting today at 3 p.m.
GOALS APLENTY
The women’s lacrosse team (3–4; 0–4 NESCAC) picked up two non-conference wins in March as the team looks ahead to more conference play. Against Roger Williams University (3–5), the Polar Bears scored 14 goals in the first half to run away with the game 17–1. Miya Imaeda ’26, Tate Ryan ’28 and Mara Muse ’28 each scored three goals, while the goalie duo of Alexa Genua ’29 and Hannah Rubin ’28 made a combined seven saves. The team saw the same scoring success on the road against Montclair State University (3–2) with five different Polar Bears scoring three goals each for a 20–1 win. The team will play at Amherst College (7–0; 3–0 NESCAC) tomorrow at noon.
