Ahhh summer. It's so close, yet there those annoying exams are sitting between you and three months of freedom. And seeing as this is technically my last summer, I've created a "bucket list" of events that I plan to take part in:

I've always felt that the Easter Bunny never gets enough credit, and that's simply because he's competing against the Big Kahuna, Mr. Jolly Ole Saint Nick. But if you take a step back and think about it, the Easter Bunny is a pretty impressive guy. He brings individual kids little baskets full of treats with no help from reindeer or a sleigh—the guy's a freak. To be perfectly honest, I'm dumbfounded by the whole situation.

Who is more worth the hype, Jeremy Lin or Tim Tebow? Who do you think will be able to sustain it? -Will Horne '14, Englewood, Colo.

One of my favorite movie scenes of all time has to be in "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective," when Jim Carey pretends to be Heinz Getwellvet—the trainer of the Miami Dolphins mascot, Snowflake—and addresses a pack of ravenous reporters concerning the whereabouts of their prized halftime act for the Super Bowl.

I think Andy Williams sang it best with his famous line calling the Christmas season "The most wonderful time of the year." Between the decorations, parties, holiday cheer, ugly sweaters, eggnog, and endless repeats of "All I Want For Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey, what's not to love? What really revs my engine during the holiday season is simple: the movies.

Back by popular demand, I give you this year's first installment of Legends & Letdowns.

The National Hockey League has come a long way since the 2005 lockout, and while there's still some work to be done—most notably with regard to concussion prevention—there is little denying the fact that hockey is in a great position these days. The reason for this is two-fold:

"I love sleepin' in on Saturdays / and I love college football games / I love not acting my age / and good Barbeque," sings Eric Church in "Love Your Love the Most." Call it weird, crazy, depressing, pathetic, absurd, call it whatever you want, but Eric Church pretty much sums up my life in this song, and no verse is more fitting than the very first lines listed above.

“And I’m proud to be an American, where at least I know I’m free.” Isn’t that the truth?
