The women's track team had a strong showing at the Bowdoin Invitational last Saturday, beating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (109 points) and Colby (128 points) with 276 points.

Erin Silva '15 won the pole vault, beating her own school record with a 3.58-meter vault. Bowdoin event winners also included captain Elsa Millett '12 in the 400-meter dash, Maddie Lamo '14 in the 600-meter run, Maggie Bryan '15 in the 800-meter run, and Olivia MacKenzie '13 in the 3000 meters.

In other field events, captain Laura Peterson '12 placed first in the long jump, Randi London '15 in the shot put, and Katherine Harmon '14 with the weight throw. The 4x200 and 4x400 relay squads also won their events, thanks to Alee Wade '13, Samantha Copland '14, Emily Clark '15, Cleo Daoud '15, and Millett.

Bowdoin's 1000 meter record-holder Chantal Croteau '12 had another great meet, taking first place in the 1000-meter and 1-mile events.

"Chantal is having a terrific season," said Head Coach Peter Slovenski. "She is very intelligent about her training, and has a lot of poise in the races."

With his team heavily favored to retake the Maine State Meet tomorrow, Slovenski's praise of his athletes does not end with Croteau.

"Our senior class is the best class in Bowdoin women's track history," he said. "They provide a lot of talent and leadership for the women's team."
