To the Editors:

The Brunswick Teen Center Program @ People Plus wants to thank Kat Flaherty '11 and the Bowdoin women's basketball, rugby, soccer and volleyball teams for scooping, as well as the a cappella group that performed, at this year's Fool's Eve Fiasco event at The Gelato Fiasco on March 31. We would also like to thank the many Bowdoin faculty, staff and students who came by to enjoy some great gelato and support our program!

The Teen Center teens enjoyed a field trip to The Gelato Fiasco once again, each getting a dish of gelato courtesy of the McKeen Center for the Common Good!

This was The Gelato Fiasco's third year supporting the Brunswick Teen Center Program by offering us a day to create special activities and invite "celebrity scoopers" to attract customers, donating all sales beyond the seasonal daily average to the Teen Center Program. This year, The Gelato Fiasco donated $2,028 in sales. Along with donated employee tips, raffle sales and other donations, the day brought in over $2,500!

For the third year in a row, the collaboration between The Gelato Fiasco, the Teen Center, town employees and Bowdoin resulted in a fun and successful day of enjoying some unique flavors of gelato and sorbetto while raising much needed monies to support the Brunswick Teen Center, a free place for area teens to gather.

This event would not be the success that it has been without Bowdoin's participation. We thank you! Your support is making the difference in a young person's life!

Sincerely,

Jordan Cardone

Teen Center Coordinator
