What is your favorite song lyric, and from what song?

Julia: "So many dreams swinging out of the blue we let them come true" from "Forever Young" by Alphaville (or the excellent cover by Youth Group).

Hannah: It's impossible for me to choose, but for now I'll go with "Set your sights straight now/ Don't forget pain/ Drink 'til tomorrow becomes yesterday/ Think of the shorelines you have yet to see/ Men who will hold you with eyes you believe," from "Rio" by Hey Marseilles.

Which song would you have liked to sing with Michael Jackson?

Julia: Well, it would definitely have to be more like lip synching given my lack of any kind of singing ability, but absolutely "Billie Jean."

Hannah: "Man in the Mirror" for sure—that key change at the end is too glorious for words.

What's the first concert you went to as a teenager with your friends?

Julia: Rob Thomas's Something to Be tour. Totally the best night of my middle school life and I promise it was way more legit than it sounds. Actually that's a lie, it was completely lame, but still the best concert EVER.

Hannah: I think it was Jason Mraz (I may or may not have seen him eight times. A.k.a. I have).

Best rap song ever written?

Julia: "Shake That" by Eminem feat. Nate Dogg. An absolute work of art, timeless for all generations.

Hannah: "I Wonder If Heaven's Got A Ghetto" by 2Pac.

Who inspires you? If you could dedicate an album title to him/her, what would the title be?

Julia: My sister inspires me and I would dedicate an album to her probably titled "Functionally DysFUNKtional." Because bad puns are the best.

Hannah: My friend Ethan Mills, who passed away this summer after a long battle with cancer.

This dude was so cool that when he found out he was going to die he wrote "go big or go home motha trucka" in a note to all his friends and threw a giant-ass going away party. It would be called "Boats," because Ethan Mills is my dreamboat.

If you could meet any live musician or artist, who would you meet?

Julia: I would meet Mike Posner because I stalk him. Just kidding, but I actually am obsessed with most of his songs.

Hannah: Bruce Springsteen. He is the boss, and nothing can change that. His music speaks to the soul of our nation, and have you seen the video for "Dancing in the Dark"? Dude can dance!

Which musical instrument do you wish didn't exist? Why?

Julia: The harpsichord. Is there anything good about the noises it makes? Absolutely terrible.

Hannah: The oboe. Really, why does anybody need an oboe?

If you could write a song about your Bowdoin College experience, what would you title it? Give a lyric.

Julia: I would probably write a song called "Sleep Deprivation," and it would definitely include the line "I haven't sleep for two weeks straight, that bed be lookin' like the dankest bait." This line would hopefully be terrible enough to get me featured on www.SnacksandShit.com.

Hannah: My song would be titled "Randy Nichols' Drunken Hearts Club Band" and would include the lyric, "Your bean boots are retail!"

What would you wear to a Beatles concert?

Julia: I would wear any article of clothing a member of Reed House gave me.

Hannah: Whatever could convince Paul McCartney to marry me.

What song do you like to hum?

Julia: "Vamos a La Playa" by Miranda.

Hannah: Definitely "5 Years Time" by Noah and the Whale. I whistle, too.

What piece of music advice would you give to Rihanna?

Julia: Partner with Eminem more often. And also, sing more songs about "Single Ladies" and less about being the "Only Girl."

Hannah: Get the hell out of the rain.

If the Black Eyed Peas asked you to join their band, would you?

Julia: Absolutely not. If I ever have to hear the non-Lil' Wayne version of "I Gotta Feeling" again, I might actually die.

Hannah: Absolutely. I think I'm the only person left in the world who thinks "I Gotta Feeling" is one of the great anthems of our generation.

Are we humans or are we dancers?

Julia: Clearly dancers. You can't resist interpretive dancing to that song.

Hannah: I'll go with Jackson Browne on this one: "In the end there is one dance you'll do alone."

Favorite song to sing in the shower?

Julia: I am a pretty big fan of busting out some "Walking on Broken Glass" by Annie Lennox.

Hannah: "Ridin' Solo" by Jason Derulo.

Name a song you love but do NOT know all the lyrics to.

Julia: "No Speak Americano" by Yolanda Be Cool....does anyone know the lyrics?

Hannah: "Talk on Indolence" by The Avett Brothers.
