E-Board announces redveil and Del Water Gap as Spring Concert lineup
February 21, 2025
Yesterday, the Bowdoin Entertainment Board (E-Board) announced that redveil and Del Water Gap will be headlining this year’s Spring Concert on Friday, April 4.
“Let the rumors rest. The Bowdoin Entertainment Board is proud to announce our lineup for the 2025 Spring Concert,” E-Board chair Nadia Puente ’25 wrote in an email to the student body.
Marcus Morton, known professionally as redveil, is a 20-year-old rapper, songwriter and producer from Maryland. He began experimenting with music at the age of 11 and released his first album, “Bittersweet Cry,” in 2021, which he produced himself. Since then, he has released two additional albums and an EP. His most recent release is his 2023 EP “Playing w/ Fire.”
Del Water Gap is the solo project of Brooklyn-based songwriter and producer Samuel Holden Jaffe. Jaffe, who is 31 years old, was first inspired to record music under the name Del Water Gap as a teenager at boarding school. Throughout his career, he has released two albums and several EPs. Jaffe has performed on tour and opened for several artists including Niall Horan, Maggie Rogers and girl in red, rising to prominence during the Covid-19 pandemic with his 2020 single “Ode to a Conversation Stuck in Your Throat.”
Puente expressed to the Orient that she hopes the event will bring students together and introduce them to new artists and music.
“As a board, we picked these artists with two things in mind: live performances and lyrics. We are so excited for a great show and even more excited to introduce some people to these artists’ music,” Puente wrote to the Orient. “This concert represents a time to come together as a school and have a good time. We hope that redveil and Del Water Gap will be a night to remember.”
For the fourth consecutive year, the Spring Concert will take place separately from Ivies. The E-Board will announce the schedule for the concert as the date nears.
