Guidelines for Organizations and Departments
This year the Orient has special rates
for all on-campus groups. These rates are a 50 percent discount off the
national advertising rates. Ad space is guaranteed if payment accompanies
the ad. Payment can be made by department account or by check.
If you have a story idea or want to preview an upcoming event, you need
to contact us at least 2 weeks in advance to discuss the possibility.
If you want to publicize an event, you can do so for free on the back
page calendar. However, we cannot guarantee that all events will be included.
Postings should be sent (via email)
to the Orient by Wednesday of the week of publication.
Letters to the Editors:
All letters must be signed by an individual or a group of named individuals,
not simply by an organization. Letters should not exceed 400 words and
should be received (via email)
by 8:00 p.m. on the Wednesday of the week of publication.
Papers are currently distributed free to students and staff campus-wide.
If your department needs additional copies for mailings or for other reasons,
you need to notify us by Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. of the week of publication.
Additional copies are $0.40 each.
